What This Page Is (And Isn't)

This is a feature and structural comparison, not an odds table. OddsReference tracks live prices for prediction markets and sportsbooks, but there is no equivalent price feed for DFS — payout multipliers and rake are fixed by each platform's published rules, not quoted in real time. We do not estimate or invent numbers here; every figure traces to a specific OddsReference article, cited inline and in the sources list. See our Editorial Policy for how we verify facts.

Advertising disclosure: This page may contain links to third-party platforms. Where OddsReference has an active, disclosed partnership with a platform, we may earn a commission if you click a link and complete a qualifying action — at no extra cost to you. Classic DFS rake and app-store style ratings are reported figures from our Best DFS Apps and Best DFS Sites rankings, not live data. 'N/A' means the platform does not run that contest format.

02 — PAYOUTS

Pick'em Payout Multipliers (Power Play)

All-or-nothing payout by pick count. Reproduced from our Pick'em Platform Comparison.

Feature PrizePicks Underdog Pick6 Sleeper
2 picks (Power/all-or-nothing) 3x 3x 3x 3x
3 picks 5x 6x 5x 5x
4 picks 10x 10x 10x 10x
5 picks 20x 20x 18x 20x
6 picks 25x 20x

Insurance/Flex (miss-one-pick) payouts are lower and platform-specific — see the full Pick'em Platform Comparison for that table.

Per-Leg Break-Even Rate

The win rate each individual pick needs to hit for the entry to break even, given the payout multiplier above.

Feature PrizePicks Underdog Pick6 Sleeper
2 picks 57.7% 57.7% 57.7% 57.7%
3 picks 58.5% 55.1%
Lowest per-leg break-even at this pick count
58.5% 58.5%
4 picks 56.2% 56.2% 56.2% 56.2%
5 picks 54.9% 54.9% 56.1% 54.9%

A 2-pick entry paying 3x implies roughly 25% hold — two independent 50/50 picks at true odds would pay 4x. That is comparable to typical DFS rake but higher than a regulated sportsbook 2-leg parlay at standard -110 pricing (~9% hold). See our Pick'em EV Calculator to run this against your own entries.

03 — STATES

State Availability Snapshot

Approximate figures as of our most recent tracker updates. State availability changes frequently — see the linked trackers for current numbers.

Feature Platform Approx. States Notable Exclusions
DraftKings (classic DFS) DraftKings ~44 HI, ID, MT, NV, WA (per our DFS legal tracker)
FanDuel (classic DFS) FanDuel ~44 HI, ID, MT, NV, WA
Underdog Fantasy (pick’em) Underdog ~40 AZ, CO, HI, ID, IA, NV, WA
PrizePicks (pick’em) PrizePicks ~30-36
Our two source articles report ~30 and ~36; see below
AZ, CO, HI, ID, IA, LA, MT, NV, WA and others
DraftKings Pick6 (pick’em) Pick6 ~32 PrizePicks exclusions plus DK-specific restrictions
Sleeper (pick’em) Sleeper ~30 Narrowest availability of the platforms compared here

Our own articles do not always agree to the state: the Pick'em Platform Comparison reports PrizePicks at ~36 states, while Best DFS Apps reports ~30 after recent market withdrawals. We're showing both rather than picking one, because the honest answer is "it changed between the two updates" — check the Pick'em Legal States tracker for the current figure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this page show live DFS odds or pricing?
No. OddsReference has a live price feed for prediction markets and sportsbooks, but not for DFS platforms — there is no equivalent 'market' to quote. Every figure on this page (payout multipliers, rake, state counts) is a structural fact pulled from our own published platform reviews, not a live number.
Which pick’em platform pays the most on a 3-pick entry?
Underdog Fantasy pays 6x on a 3-pick all-or-nothing entry, versus 5x on PrizePicks and DraftKings Pick6. That drops Underdog's per-leg break-even to about 55.1%, roughly 3.4 percentage points lower than PrizePicks or Pick6 at the same pick count. See our full Pick'em Platform Comparison for the 2-6 pick breakdown.
Is classic salary-cap DFS legal in more states than pick’em DFS?
Yes, generally. Classic DFS operates under a UIGEA fantasy-sports carve-out and is available in roughly 41-44 states depending on methodology (our DFS legal-states tracker and our best-DFS-sites ranking report slightly different figures as the count shifts). Pick'em-style DFS has faced narrower, separately-contested legality in several states, and individual platform availability (Underdog ~40, PrizePicks ~36, Pick6 ~32, Sleeper ~30) is consistently lower than classic DFS.
Which DFS platform has the lowest rake?
Underdog Fantasy charges roughly 5-6% across Best Ball and pick’em formats, the lowest of the paid platforms we track. DraftKings and FanDuel both run close to 8% on classic contests. Yahoo DFS charges 0% but only offers free-to-play contests with no real-money prizes.
Do any of these DFS platforms have an active affiliate partnership with OddsReference?
No. As of this page’s last update, OddsReference has no active affiliate partnership with any DFS or pick’em operator. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the current, always-accurate state of that.

Where These Numbers Come From

Every figure on this page is pulled from OddsReference's own published platform reviews and state-legality trackers linked above — not from a live price or odds feed. We do not have odds, pricing, or RTP data for DFS, casino, or poker products the way we do for prediction markets and sportsbooks, and this page does not pretend otherwise. Where our own articles disagree slightly on a figure (state counts shift as regulations change), we say so rather than picking one silently. See our Editorial Policy for how we source and update facts.
